Short-Term Missions
Parkside Church short term mission projects are designed to give people an inside look at what God is doing worldwide. We partner with our missionaries in the field in 7-14 day projects that range from medical/dental work to construction. We enjoy our partnership with our missionaries because our brief presence allows them to build on the work we have done. For example, our dental teams will go and attract large numbers of people for oral care. Our missionaries, the Ross Family and Rivera family, will come alongside and provide support and the necessary gospel follow up after the physical care is completed. Our physical care is the door that opens the opportunity for the message of spiritual care that we believe the world needs desperately. Hopefully, those who come back from our trips are that much more excited to reach their neighbors for Christ.
We are looking for committed Christians ages 18 and older who are regularly attending Parkside. The best preparation for any applicant for a mission trip is a growing personal walk with Christ and a flexible team-oriented attitude. After a brief informational meeting, a person interested can expect to fill out an application that includes their personal conversion testimony and medical history. Team members are required to attend all team meetings leading up to the trip to begin to foster team cohesion. Individual team members are expected to send out letters of prayer and financial support to their circle of family and friends. If you are interested in going on a trip, get your passport updated now and get on your knees. God often blesses the team members who participate as much or more than those who receive our work!
