Dear Friends,
I'm sorry we didn't get you an update in May. It seems harder to do when we're in two different places.
Mike had a good trip to Oaxaca. He flew almost 40 hours checked, out Bruce on the airstrips and gave Juan Carlos a bit of a break. He returned to Cleveland via Dallas where he met up with his folks and drove them in their motor home to Cleveland. They will stay in Mike's sister's driveway until October.
May also consisted of lots of traveling together. We attended a family reunion with Joan's family, enjoyed family vacation in the Outer Banks and wrapped it all up with a visit with several supporters in Atlanta.
Our time is rapidly drawing to a close and the calendar is filling up. We look forward to several church meetings in June and an opportunity to participate in a VBS program.
However, our biggest news would be the engagement of our youngest son. Aaron proposed to Sharon Gerrick while in the Outer Banks and she said YES! No date has been set. We are thrilled with his choice of a wife.
Please pray for our team in Mexico. Our temporary permit to use the airstrips ran out so we are back to only doing emergency medical flights. Pray that the permits would be issued soon. Pray that our new pilot, Bruce, would receive his Mexican pilot license soon.
Please continue to pray for our support as we desire to return to Oaxaca the end of July at 100%. We appreciate your prayers and gifts so much we don't know how to express it.
Blessings,
Mike & Joan
