Dear Friends,
October was a busy month. The dental team arrived with no problems and we were able to get special permission to fly them into one of our mountain communities. This year the pastor from our church here in Oaxaca accompanied the team as he is also a medical doctor.
Oct. 25th Bruce Devries arrived to fly with Mike so he could get to know our airstrips. This has not gone as well as anticipated due to windy weather and a lack of permissions from the government. Hopefully they will have finished all they need to do today as he leaves tomorrow. Bruce & his family plan to return in January to join the MAF team here. They will be living in our house while we are on furlough.
Mike will spend the rest of this month tying up loose ends at the office as well as helping with flights for the National Forest Service.
Please pray for us as we finish up things here at the house and pack for furlough. We would also appreciate your prayers for our financial support. We will need to raise quite a bit of additional support before we return in July. We leave Oaxaca on Nov. 27th to spend a week at MAF in Nampa, Idaho and then on to Cleveland on Dec. 4th. Please pray for safe travel.
