Dear Friends,
Hooray! After six long weeks of work the major inspection on our airplane XB-GGU is finished and Mike flew it for the first time on April 2nd. We had three volunteers come from the US to help out giving us a total of five weeks of their time. A big thanks to Bill, Rick & Chad for digging in and doing a lot of work. We did find a few "surprises" like cracked main landing gear brackets which made the inspection go longer than we anticipated, but we do inspections to find surprises before they cause problems.
This month appears to be a little calmer than the last three have been. Mike will be the only pilot on the program while Juan Carlos attends management meetings for a week. We are anticipating a visit from a fellow missionary who will be here to encourage Edgar & Neri as they train 70 Christian leaders in their ESI (Equipping Servants) study groups. We are thankful for Joan's continued improvement and a good report from her local doctor regarding her diabetes control.
In Him,
Mike & Joan
