Dear Faithful Friends,
“He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed.” Believers all around the world proclaim this amazing truth as we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you for your tremendous encouragement to us through your gifts and prayers. We are so grateful for your partnership in proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Our purpose is to use our airplanes as a bridge to open doors for the Gospel in isolated communities which have historically been opposed to outsiders. It is always good to hear positive news about the eight small churches that have been planted in Amoltepec. Our missionary, Edgar Rivera, reports that the churches have all started getting together once a month to pray and to encourage one another. Please pray that the unity among these churches will shine as a bright light bringing others to Jesus Christ.
March 7th we hosted and lead the first meeting for married couples from our church. More than twenty couples joined us in several activities centered around learning to speak their spouses “love language.” Some of these couples are either very new Christians or unbelievers. Please pray that we would be able to present creative, Bible-based, practical lessons for these couples from our church. We desire to see each and every couple shining as examples of Christian relationships to their unsaved relatives and friends.
In June, we are looking forward to a visit from a group of highschoolers from the U.S. They will be spending several days in the Amoltepec area helping the churches with practical projects. Please pray for these teens as they have chosen to spend time demonstrating God’s love in a concrete fashion to the people of Oaxaca. We also pray that their hearts will be encouraged as they see how God is working in missions.
As many of you know, MAF raised the minimum support level in October. We continue to be around $650 a month short of this new goal. Please pray with us that God would touch the hearts of His people to provide for this need.
