1. In Bolivia, the new year brings a new school year and the start of all the ministries, after summer/Christmas vacations. Pray for a fresh vision and new ideas as each area of ministry starts this new year. Pray especially for the single’s ministry, in the area of leadership and being in tune with what the Lord would have for this ministry this year.

2. Praising the Lord for the opportunity to participate in a cross-cultural course in Cochabamba and the insights that not only I have gained but all those who participated, Bolivian nationals and foreigners. Pray that the Lord would use these insights to make us all more culturally sensitive, so that we may be more effective in spreading the Gospel.

1. Praising the Lord for a good trip back to the US. Pray for time, especially spent with family, that I would make that time a priority. Pray for the ministries back in Bolivia, that the Lord would help people step up and move things ahead in my absence. Ask the Lord to guide me in sharing what He’s doing in Bolivia, as I’m given opportunity.

2. Pray for Alejandra, one of the young women I’ve disciple, as she serves as a translator for the Children’s Heart Project with Samaritan’s Purse. An 18 year old girl and an 8 year old boy will be arriving on October 14th, in Greenville, SC, with their mothers, in order to have heart surgery. Pray for the salvation of the family members and for successful heart surgeries.

1. I will be back in the US from Sept. 14th – Oct. 28th. Pray:

a. That I may be a helpful and encouraging support for my family.

b. Safe travels

c. Time of personal spiritual refreshment

d. That the Lord would use me as I share what the Lord is doing in Bolivia and how to pray for more specifically for His work in Bolivia

2. September 2 – 7, I’ll be traveling to the Beni area in Bolivia, located in Bolivia’s lowlands. I will be visiting Sergio and Paula, a young, newly married couple working with Samaritan’s Purse on a medical boat in the Amazon basin. Pray that the Lord would use my time to encourage and build them up.

1) Praise the Lord for the two short-term mission teams sent out from Parkside. All of the SIM missionaries were blessed by Scott Kennedy’s teaching, our time of worship lead by Jason, and kids lives were touched by the children’s program, with Alison, Bonnie, Greg, Jim and Sarah. The high school mission team worked really hard and made some good friends with some of the Bolivian youth. With only a few health issues, the majority did amazingly well, especially with the high altitude of La Paz; we had safe travel and in the end, all luggage arrived.

2) Two other areas of prayer:

a. Pray for the singles’ ministry at La Comunidad church as we experience some leadership changes and also for direction, as we desire to do more evangelism and service projects.

b. Pray for me, as a participate in the Equipping Servants Internship regarding the work required, knowing that I’ll miss about 6 weeks this module as I return to the US from mid-September though October.

1. July 8 – 18th: Pray for safe travel without complications for the short-term Parkside high school team coming. Pray that the it will be a time of challenges and blessings. Pray that the Bolivian high school kids will still be on vacation, so they can work alongside the youth team.

2. Fe Extrema (Extreme Faith) Conference, July 28-31, Cochabamba, Bolivia. This is national youth leaders’ conference. Pray that the Lord would use this conference to encourage and equip current youth leaders, as well as raise up more youth workers.

1. SIM Spiritual Life Conference, June 28 – July 3, in Santa Cruz Bolivia. Pray for the planning committee, which includes me, as we make the necessary preparations. Pray for Scott Kennedy and the Parkside team that will be ministering to the SIM missionary family. Scott will be teaching and the team will run a VBS program for the missionary children. Pray for travel safety, team unity, to be refreshed and challenged the God’s word and an mutual encouragement for all involved.

2. Pray for wisdom regarding prioritizing time. There are always things pulling me in a variety of directions and I desire to know clearly, where the Lord wants me to be, and not just where I think I should be.
