Kathy Maenner December 2010 Prayer Update

1) December here in the southern hemisphere is not only the end of the calendar year, but also the academic year. Pray for the year end activities in all areas of ministry, as we head into our summer vacation.

2) Pray for our SIM team in La Paz. The Lord in His sovereignty decided to take Scotty and Lisa Miser’s 19 day old baby, who’d been born prematurely, home to be with Him. Pray for their peace and comfort.

Dear Friends,

I have been back in Bolivia since the end of July, after returning from a 4 month home assignment. My time back in the States was challenging at times, refreshing at others and a blessing at all times. When I first came to the field, I thought the goodbyes would become normal and easier with time. I’ve discovered that they don’t get easier, but with deeper relationships in Bolivia, the returns are greeted with anticipation.

Kathy and friends

Upon my return, I’ve added on two new areas of ministry:

Kathy Maenner November 2010 Prayer Requests

1) November 27, we will be having an evangelistic outreach with a local Christian band at La Comunidad Church. It will be a combined church event for adolescents, youth and young adults. Pray for the Lord to work out all the details and the hearts would be touched and lives changed.

2) Pray for the Lord to raise up more female leaders to work with the adolescent and youth ministries. Ask the Lord to direct me to those He wants me to help equip and train to be leaders.

Thanks,

Kathy

Kathy Maenner August 2010 Prayer Update

I’ve just returned to Bolivia, after being out of the country for about 4 months. Pray for quality time as I reconnect with my friends and plug back into the ministries that I left behind. Pray for wisdom, as I add on working with the high school/college ministry and then need the Lord to show me, what He’d have me take off my already full plate.

Pray for Alejandra, as she attends the Discipleship Training Program with YWAM in Argentina. This is a prerequisite for participating in their Film Production School, which will follow in April, 2011.

Thanks,

Kathy
