And we almost did too! Let me explain…Over Easter weekend, I drove down to camp with Alejandra, Osvaldo, Caryl, and Gustavo. After waiting about 1 ½ hours to go through the tollbooth, I decided there would be less traffic on the “death road”.

Dear Praying Friends:
I have a situation, which needs much prayer.
A number of weeks ago, a young woman who I will call “Maria”, age 25, came to the Bible study for young adults that meets at my home on Thursday evenings. It has become painfully obvious that she has a severe drinking problem. About 2 years ago she went through rehabilitation and did well for awhile. Approximately 3 months go she relapsed again, and now hardly a day goes by when she isn’t drinking. No one in her family is a believer, but I trust the Lord will use this situation to touch their lives too.

Prayer Requests:
- Adolescent camp – June 26-28: We would like to see about 30 youth attend. Pray for participation, necessary funds, safety, unity and a desire for a deeper relationship with Jesus.
- Praise for my girls’ discipleship group. Pray that Joanna would understand completely and commit herself fully to the Lord. Pray that Grace, Valeria, Claudia and Joselyn would have the strength and wisdom to take a stand for Jesus in their schools.

Prayer Requests:
- May 1-3, Inca trail hike with a group from the church. Pray for safety, stamina, unity building and learning more about depending on the Lord, even when things get tough.
- Pray that the Lord would be continuing to develop a thankful heart in me. Thanksgiving is key in helping us keep our eyes on Him and not on ourselves.
