The James Family

James' Family October 2010 Prayer & Praise

• Pray for the ESI (Equipping Servants Internship) participants throughout Bolivia and in Oaxaca, Mexico. Currently we have 523 active participants involved in weekly training, and 325 graduates since we started ESI in 2002. Please pray that many churches will be transformed as pastors and church leaders learn to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures as they dedicate time to study God’s Word.

• Pray for committed pastors who sacrifice much to open ESI in new regions. Our ESI leadership visited the ESI groups meeting in Oruro, Huanuni, Potosi, Cochabamba in recent weeks, and reports of growth are encouraging.

• Praise for good regional pastors conferences in Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and La Paz, with good attendance and evidence of God working in the lives of many pastors and church leaders.

• Pray for our Pastoral Assistant (PA) training program in the ILC and IBM churches in La Paz as we train 13 pastors in 2010 learn to think and live Biblically. Pray for the impact of this training as ESI Expansion has purposed to establish ESI in 5 new Latin American countries in the next 5 years.

• Pray for wisdom as we actively begin the process to select new PAs for 2011.

• Pray for Debbie as she trains a team to help carry the heavy load of evangelism and discipleship among women in La Paz. She continues equipping key women in how to communicate God’s Word effectively to women.

• Pray for Sami and Heather Ross, working in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz in a Biblical counseling and outreach to young people.

• Pray for Katie as she looks for work in nursing in the Cleveland area!

• Pray for Andrew, developing a ministry of evangelism and discipleship in Bolivia, and for Angie, heading up a ministry with Samaritan’s Purse in Bolivia to help children with heart defects get medical attention in the USA. They are working with the Jr High students on Sunday mornings at ILC Church, and are seeing good fruit for the gospel in their work. We’re excited about becoming grandparents -- Angie is due in late October or early November!!
