September 2009 Prayer & Praise: Kep & Debbie James

  • Pray for the 220 pastors in Bolivia participating in ESI (Equipping Servants Internship). This is a 2.5 year process where church leaders study through the book of Romans, learning to think and live and minister Biblically, and honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures.
  • Pray for the possibility of starting ESI in Oaxaca, Mexico and Loja, Ecuador -- that God will guide us as we seek to encourage pastoral training in those 2 key regions.
  • Pray as we prepare for 5 regional ESI pastors conferences in La Paz, Oruro, Cochabamba, Guayaramerin and Riberalta in September.
  • Pray for ESI leader, Pastor Jaime Cruz, as he travels 12 hours each week to open ESI in Potosi, and for Pastor Antonio Cruz as he travels 6 hours each week to open ESI in Challapata.
  • Pray for Pastor Edgar Mamani as he equips 3 PAs (Pastoral Assistants) in the context of his IBM Church (Javier Soliz, Freddy Choque and Edwin Callejas).
  • Pray for Pastor Pepe Rocha, as he and Kep give oversight to 7 PAs (Pastoral Assistants) and missionary Miguel Torrez, in the context of the ILC Church.
  • Pray for Juan Cardenas, one of Kep’s PAs (Pastoral Assistants) as he administrates ESI in Bolivia. We continue seeing good growth in his life, character & ministry. Praise for growth in learning to encourage people around him.
  • Praise for Jacob Sanchez, one of Kep’s 2nd year PAs as he oversees the ILC Church Junior High ministry and grows in his ability to teach and preach God’s Word.
  • Pray for Lucho Kama, one of Kep’s PAs, that God will grant wisdom as oversees Miguel Torrez’ ministry among the rural churches of Taca, and as he continues the church plant in the Yungas region, near Camp Yungas.
  • Pray for Jose Franco, one of Kep’s PAs (Pastoral Assistants), as he grows in his ability to teach and preach God’s Word.
  • Pray for Mauro Anabe, one of Kep’s PAs (Pastoral Assistants), as he travels 7 hours each week to lead ESI groups in Oruro. Pray that God will protect him in his travels encouraging rural pastors, and will help him learn effectively to teach and preach God’s Word.
  • Pray for Tomas Diaz, one of Kep’s PAs (Pastoral Assistants), that God will protect him as he travels 6 hours each Friday to equip ESI pastors in the Yungas city of Caranavi.
  • Pray for Mache Contreras, one of Kep’s PAs (Pastoral Assistants), as he assumes increasing responsibility overseeing ILC’s youth ministry, and grows in his ability to teach and preach God’s Word.
  • Pray for Miguel Torrez (ILC missionary) as he continues encouraging and raising up church leaders in the Taca region. He recently informed me that the church in Taca is planning to dedicate their new church building on September 6th.
  • Pray for Pepe Rocha that God will grant him wisdom as carries a heavy load pastoring the ILC Church. Pray for much fruit that remains, as he devotes himself to teaching and preaching God’s Word.
  • Pray for Debbie as she trains her team to help carry the heavy load of evangelism and discipleship among women in La Paz. She continues equipping key women in how to communicate God’s Word effectively to women.
  • Pray for Heather in her effective ministry at Highlands International School in La Paz.
  • Pray for Katie as she enters her last year of nursing studies at Kent State University.
  • Praise that Andrew and Angie will return to Bolivia on Sept 4th. Andrew recently accepted a position with Samaritan’s Purse in La Paz to develop ministries of evangelism and discipleship in Bolivia.
