Collins February 2010 Prayer Requests

Here are a few prayer requests.

CLAVE ends February 26 here in Guatemala. It is a training program for speakers of minority languages from Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and Peru who are trying to keep their languages alive and well. We help them by providing skills and tools for publishing booklets on a range of topics, from poetry to history to technical linguistic studies. Most of our students want to see people read their first language (as well as Spanish) because they understand it so much better than they do Spanish. Half of our students are Bible translators while the rest are working in related fields (as pastors or teachers). Pray that they finish well. They've been studying full time since October.

CILTA starts on March 22 in Lima, Peru. It is for university students committed to work in cross-cultural ministry. We are finalizing the class of 2010, which appears to be our biggest ever. Pray that we can handle the increased numbers and still keep the training personal. We also trying to recruit qualified faculty for second semester this year and beyond.

Elisa and the twins are doing well (see photo). Nancy is helping to care for them. Molly has come home from out West. She's also helping with the twins and is reestablishing ties at home, to our delight. Isaac and the twins 2

Thanks for your prayers and support. We appreciate it so much.

God's best to all.
