Registration for the upcoming Cancer Support dinner on Thursday, May 19, is now open. The dinner will be in Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm. Pastor Alistair Begg will be the speaker.

“April is my 14-year anniversary,” notes Janet Vitt-Sommer referring to the number of cancer-free years since her diagnosis of terminal lung cancer. Her good friend and fellow Cancer Support Ministry team member, Mary McHugh, is sitting across the table beaming at the good news Janet has just shared.
We are sitting in Janet’s sunlit, airy kitchen in Sagamore Hills where she teaches cooking classes and prepares “meals to go” for people with cancer and other illnesses. It is just after 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning and Janet has already finished cooking enough meals for 20 people. Large platters of bright, colorful vegetables adorn her countertops and the mouth-watering aroma is clean and fresh.
