Children's Ministry at Parkside Church includes a variety of groups and activities designed to help children become committed followers of Jesus Christ. Learn more about our Sunday and Midweek schedule and our Special events.

Sunday

Sunday Mornings

Nursery Care
All services

Nursery ministry is provided on Sunday mornings for children birth through 24 months and on Sunday evenings for children birth through 35 months. Parents will find the nursery a safe and welcoming place for their young children to be while they attend worship.   Beginning in January in room 105, our older babies have a casually structured teaching & song time that has helped them make an easier transition into the two-year-old rooms later. 

Nursery care is provided in Rooms 101-105.  Depending on the service families attend, different rooms may be opened or closed at various services.  Signs with age-designations are posted at the doorway to each room.

Kids QUEST, Ages 2 through 5th grade
9:45 & 11:45am services

The Sunday morning children's ministry of Parkside Church is focused on assisting parents in training up a child in the things of God. Preschool (ages 2- Kindergarten) and Elementary children (grades 1-5) learn God's Word through music and worship, Bible lessons and age-appropriate games and activities. This ministry provides an excellent opportunity for many who are looking to serve Christ through serving children.

Music Ministry

Our Children’s Music Ministry is a great opportunity for children to express their praises to God through music.  We offer two sessions per year (fall/winter & winter/spring) with rehearsals, opportunities for service and relationship-building.  It is our prayer that children will learn the truths of God’s Word through Scripture-based songs and that many people will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior through this ministry. Parental involvement is encouraged! 

Rehearsals take place on Sunday mornings, 9:00-9:30 in Room 211.  Call the office for a schedule as dates are subject to change.

Sunday Nights

Nursery: Birth through 35 months

Rooms 101-104

Kids of the Kingdom, Ages 3 through 3rd grade
7:00pm, Lower Level Commons

Sunday evenings offer a special opportunity for children 3 years old through grade 3 to gather to learn about God and His promises. The children meet in a large group setting in our lower level great room for prayer, singing, and missions emphasis.  Afterwards, children break into smaller groups for Bible lessons, games, and other age-appropriate activities.

Midweek

G.E.O. kidz (formerly Pioneer Clubs)
Alternate Thursdays, 7:00-8:30pm, L33-34

Our midweek ministry for elementary boys and girls in grades 1-5 is G.E.O. kidz (Growth, Encouragement, Outreach).  G.E.O. kidz meets two Thursday nights a month and throughout the year at special events and service projects. Our focus is on personal Christian growth, evangelism, service and fellowship.  This is an excellent opportunity for elementary-aged children to build relationships with one another and to invite their school or neighborhood friends. 

Special Events

Vacation Bible School

Every summer, we host hundreds of kids ages 4-5th grade for a week of fun, friends, and Bible learning.  Join us June 18-22, 2012 for Olympion, where children will be challenged to join God's team and train to run with single-minded allegiance to Christ and His Word.

Ambassadors in Sport Soccer Camp

This is a fun-filled sports week for children ages 6-16, where they not only learn and improve their soccer skills but are also challenged to grow in their faith in Christ. Camp dates for 2012 are July 10-14; camp is held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Orange Village.

PARENTS--A Word about Security:  We take the security of children very seriously.  All children's workers 18 years of age and older must be regular attendees for a minimum of six months or members of Parkside Church.  Workers are also asked to provide information for a security background check.  Throughout children's ministry, we have a minimum two-adult per room rule.
