Ross Family March 2017 News

Dear Friends,

Greetings from warm and dry Oaxaca. As many of you are anticipating the end to winter we are moving into our hottest part of the year. We are also experiencing the worst drought in the last 50 years with smoke and reduced visibility.

Thank you for your prayers! February brought us some unanticipated aircraft maintenance issues that resulted in Amos being away with one of our airplanes for more than half the month. Mike was able to handle the flying in Oaxaca. We are thankful that the issues have been resolved and the airplane is back in service.

The March schedule looks like it will be fairly routine but busy too. We maintain our focus on serving indigenous communities in a way which demonstrates God’s love, trusting Him to open doors to share the Gospel. Mike will do a six month check ride for Amos which involves several days of flying together and evaluation. We have had newly elected presidents from several different communities come to us for advice on how to reopen closed airstrips including Mitla where our maintenance hangar located (long standing prayer request).

We appreciate your continued prayers for a hangar, safety, office space, an airplane stuck in the importation process, the indigenous church, and our family back in the USA.

Blessings,

Mike & Joan
