Supported Worker: Indigenous Church-Planting Training in Arab and Muslim Countries
Details: Praise God for the recent Prayer Conference that bought 270 people together from different local provinces. This was a time to refocus and declare reliance on the Lord to fulfill His purposes in the North African Middle East Region. They are prayerfully seeking to multiply their current missionary school to four new locations. This effort is led by a team of key indigenous believers, who work together under the umbrella of an international missions organization. The strategy focuses on mobilization events, including annual missions and prayer conferences where Arabic-speaking Christians are gathered together from around the region. In-depth training is provided in missionary schools. Personalized care is taken to place workers from the Arab world for ministry to the unreached people groups of their own. The provincial government is at times increasingly tolerant and open to the activity of unregistered Christian groups, but then at other times it cracks down on them. Pray for steps that will release the Church into powerful witness and ministry in Fujian. Fujian’s connection with Taiwan is ancient and profound and may be at the root of the revival of Buddhism and Daoism, as Taiwanese seek to restore temples and shrines in ancestral areas.
